BOOK LAUNCH EVENT: Crash: A Memoir of Overmedication and Recovery

October 13, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

BOOK LAUNCH EVENT: Crash: A Memoir of Overmedication and Recovery

This fall, the Wildflower Alliance will be bringing bridging to the Amherst community with support of the Community Responders for Equity, Safety, and Service (CRESS) program.

What is Bridging?: Bridging is a peer-to-peer support offered by people who have faced and navigated significant challenges in their lives to people who are struggling to navigate various challenges in the moment. The primary goal of bridging supports is to support people to transition from more restrictive settings (hospitals, jails, etc.) back to community, or – in some instances – to avoid those settings altogether. Bridger activities might be accompanying someone to explore resources, filling out housing or other similar paperwork together, exploring ways to get more connected in the community, and more.
