Grief and Guns: Understanding Gun Violence & Mental Health
May 31, 2-4 pm
Join the Office of the Public Advocate and partners for a panel discussion on the relationship between mental health and gun violence.
On the cusp of May’s Mental Health Awareness Month and June’s Gun Violence Awareness Month, we will explore both the facts and myths about mental health and gun violence. We will hear from gun violence survivors and advocates as well as policy makers in the fields of public health. We hope to emerge with a fuller understanding as well as solutions to move forward in healing our communities.
