Motivational Interviewing (MI) for Healthy Sleep Habits

Sleep has been described as one of the pillars of optimal health, which can have a significant impact on many aspects of daily life. In assisting individuals to address various areas of life functioning and psychological well-being, support providers are well-positioned to include conversations aimed at improving sleep habits. This hands-on workshop will focus on the use of Motivational Interviewing in facilitating healthy sleep habits and addressing any barriers to success. This highly interactive, practice-focused training is designed for providers with foundational knowledge and skills in MI. Please note, this is NOT a lecture-based training, and attendees are expected to participate in active role-play scenarios to practice skills.

Attendees will be paired randomly in breakout rooms to practice particular MI skills via role-play exercises and will be expected to participate through audio and video sharing. Solid internet connectivity and audio capabilities are a REQUIREMENT for participating in this webinar. Given the coaching nature of this webinar, enrollment will be limited, and entry will not be permitted after 10:10am.

Pre-requisites for participation: Foundational knowledge of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and audio/video sharing capabilities.
