In this training, relevant for Peers and other mental health professionals alike, we will explore self-disclosure. Appropriate self-disclosure can be an important tool in aiding clients to recover from mental health challenges. This training will discuss how and when to disclose so that it really helps people. Contrary to traditional beliefs in the mental health field, even non-Peers can disclose in effective ways that really provide hope to clients, without straining the therapeutic relationship. This training is recommended for all types of mental health providers including Peers, therapists and counselors of all kinds, and case managers.
