Tips for creating your own open jobs report

It might take a little bit of time, but if you want to follow the strategy used to generate the Open Jobs report, you can start with the following search terms (using only those terms most relevant to the position you are seeking) and enter those search terms with the employment agencies listed below.

Indeed Search

For example, you can create a search on Indeed using the term “peer specialist” and then look for a specific location. In the case of this sample report, I’ve selected New York State to view jobs across the entire state.

Past Open Jobs Reports

The Open Jobs Reports were provided courtesy Curtis Dann-Messier, previous Director of the New York City Peer and Community Health Worker Workforce Consortium. These reports offered a monthly snapshot of available jobs in the peer support workforce in New York State. Although they are no longer available, you can use these reports for a historical perspective on jobs that were available during this time period.
