Veterans’ Resources

Joseph P. Dwyer was an Army combat medic from Mt. Sinai, New York, who became famous for an iconic photograph of him helping an Iraqi boy. Dwyer died of suicide on June 28, 2008 after returning home. The Joseph P. Dwyer Veterans Peer Support Project was named in his honor.
