The Career Coach provides personalized employment related support including job/internship preparation and search, job development, placement, and job retention coaching to HTH participants. Through a customized array of services delivered both on site and in the field the Career Coach provides support and skill development toward success and satisfaction as a trainee in the HTH classroom, on an internship, and while engaging and sustaining employment.

The Clubhouse Generalist will work in partnership with staff and members in the daily operation of the clubhouse employment, education, advocacy and wellness programs. The Clubhouse Generalist is responsible for engaging Clubhouse members.

Peer Specialists use their “lived experience” to promote resiliency, recovery, wellness, and self-efficacy, and support the practice of youth-guided and family-driven approaches. The Peer Specialist position is community-based. Services are delivered in a variety of settings that meet the needs of the program participants.

The Peer Advocate works with the Program Coordinator in collaboration with the NYC Youth/Family Peer Advocate Training programs to introduce and motivate young adults with mental health and/or lived experience towards professional development.

The CORE Services Certified Peer Specialist is responsible for ensuring members receive person-centered, trauma-informed and culturally competent services with a rehabilitation and recovery focus in their homes or their community. This role is responsible for facilitating the utilization of natural resources and the enhancement of recovery-oriented principles with the intention to assist individuals with initiating recovery, maintaining health and wellness, and enhancing the quality of personal and family life for long-term recovery.

Oversee all areas of operation of a residential program serving 9 male individuals with mental health diagnoses and whom are homeless upon entry to the program. Responsible for all program wide documentation including progress notes, service plans, correspondence with community providers and agencies. (Strong computer, written and oral skills a must.)

Incumbent will operate a warm line from 3pm-11pm Monday-Thursday. The purpose of this phone line is to give support to callers including, but not limited to, social support, emotional encouragement, referrals to community resources and confidential conversation. This is not a crisis line. Crisis calls are to be referred out to appropriate agencies.

The Adult Certified Peer Specialist (NYCPS) uses lived experience of mental health recovery to provide non-clinical, recovery-oriented support to adult clients at HSVS’s OMH-licensed MHOTRS clinic. The Peer Specialist offers one-to-one support, co-facilitates groups, assists with navigation and self-advocacy, and partners with the multidisciplinary team to strengthen engagement, hope, and self-management. This role is supervised by licensed clinical staff and complements, but does not duplicate, clinical services
