Print Certificates and Transcripts

In addition to printing a certificate immediately after completing the post test and course evaluation, you can now use the Dashboard to print course certificates, the master certificate (once you have completed all 13 of the Core courses) or a transcript showing all of the courses you have completed (including elective and supervision courses, if you have taken them).

Print a course certificate after taking the test and course evaluation

In order to receive a certificate of completion, you must pass the test with a score of 75% or higher and complete a course evaluation.  This step-by-step instruction begins when you have successfully passed the course test.

Step 1: Click the Complete Course Evaluation link.

Step 2: On the next screen, click the link to Answer the questions.

Step 3: Answer all of the questions in the Course Evaluation.
(Even if you only took the test, an answer to every question in the Evaluation is required.)

Step 4: When you are finished, click the Submit your answers button.

Step 5: If you passed the test, you will be able to click Get Certificate as shown below.

Step 6: If you passed the test, you will be able to click Get Certificate as shown below.

The course certificate opens in a new window. Verify your name, the course title, and number of hours for the course are correct.

Step 7: Click the printer icon to print or download the certificate as a PDF on your computer.

Print a course certificate from the Dashboard

Note: There can be up to a one-hour delay from the time you pass a course test and complete the evaluation to the time it will appear in the Completed Courses window in your Dashboard. After that, you can use the following procedure to print certificates directly from the Dashboard.

Step 1: Go to the Academy of Peer Services: https://www.academyofpeerservices.org.

  • If you are not already logged in, click Log in (upper right button) and follow the steps.

  • If you are already logged in, click Dashboard (upper right button).

Dashboard is highlighted in the Navigation bar  (left side of screen).

Step 2: Locate the course you want to print a certificate for in the Completed Courses window (left side of screen).

Note: If it has been more than one hour from the time you completed the course test and evaluation, and the course is not appearing in this window, send an email to user support: academyofpeerservicesnyomh@gmail.com

Step 3: Click the title of the course. A PDF file is downloaded to your computer. This is the course completion certificate.

Step 4: Open the PDF file to verify your name, the course title, and number of hours for the course are correct.

*Save the completed course certificates to submit to the Certification Board.

Print Master Certificate

The Learning Path is a list of all of the Core courses you are required to submit to the New York Peer Specialist Certification Board to apply for the Peer Specialist certification.

Step 1: Click Dashboard (if you are not already there).

If you have completed all of the required courses, a green “Completed” tag appears at the top of the Learning Path and a Download button becomes available at the bottom.

 

Step 2: Click Download.  A PDF file is downloaded to your computer. This is the Master Certificate.

Step 3: Open the PDF file to verify your name, the number of courses completed are correct.

(Note: Your copy should now read 13 core courses) 

*Save the Master Certificate to submit to the Certification Board.

Transcripts

Transcripts are a new feature. Once you have completed one or more of the courses, you can print or save a PDF file with a list of the courses you have completed, whether they are core courses, elective courses, or supervision courses.

When you are applying for a renewal or recertification, the transcript can help you to request credit for course work completed beyond the core courses.

Step 1: Click Dashboard (if you are not already there). The Navigation Bar will appear on the left side of the screen.

Step 2: Click Print Transcript.

A PDF file is downloaded to your computer. This is the transcript.

Step 3: Check the Transcript to be sure all of the completed courses appear as expected.

*Save the Transcript to submit to the Certification Board.
