Thursday evening, Laura Van Tosh will be receiving both the Lifetime Advocacy Award from the Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law and NYAPRS first ever Sally Zinman Lifetime Achievement Award, a powerful indication of how important a leader and courageous and compassionate exemplar Laura has been for our movement over many decades. Here’s a powerful interview Laura gave to Mad in America’s Robert Whitaker earlier this year, with a closing sentence that says it all:
