Job Summary

The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill an Advocacy Specialist 2, SG-18 position in the Office of Advocacy and Peer Support Services (OAPSS) located at the Albany Central Office. The incumbent will serve as a Program Assistant and contribute to the implementation and management efforts of Intensive and Sustained Engagement Teams (INSET) and Bureau of Community Feedback (BCF) statewide. The Program Assistant will promote the inclusion of lived experience perspectives into program design, technical assistance, oversight, training, and perform administrative tasks.

Job Summary

CASES is seeking a Peer Specialist to join the team to support our supervised released program. This unit will pioneer innovative strategies to support individuals on Supervised Release who face significant needs and challenges affecting their daily lives and program participation. The Peer Specialist, will working alongside a clinician, will be at the forefront of delivering proactive, field-based direct services to program participants, with a focus on mental health, substance abuse, and employment challenges.
